Hello and welcome to my website!!

I am a currently a postdoc research associate in the Davis Lab in the Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard. I am broadly interested in the ecology and evolution of lower land plant, using islands and tropical mountains as model systems. My long-standing taxonomist interest has been in bryophytes. Bryophytes, especially liverworts, are my favorite organisms. This group remains one of the least documented components of the world biota.

I completed my PhD at the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 2018, where I investigated the regional and global context of the bryophytes of Madagascar, and the factors affecting epiphytic bryophyte diversity, distribution and assemblage of communities along an elevational gradient.

From 2019 to 2020, I was a postdoc fellow and part-time lecturer at the Biological Sciences Department of the University of Cape Town. While there, I studied bryophyte edaphic specialization and dispersal ability in Madagascar's dry and arid regions.

From 2021 to 2023, I was a postdoc at the Antonelli Lab at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. My primary research focus was on understanding the diversity and distribution of bryophytes along elevation gradients in the high mountains of Madagascar.
